Vulkarian Terrorists threaten an attack as a "New Years Gift"

Early this morning, the elusive leader of the Vulkarian terrorist group known as the Malravian Liberation Front (MLF), Van'a Kamoni, released a video saying he was planning to stage multiple attacks as "New Years Gifts". The intended targets are unknown. The video also depicts the execution of three hostages. The clip was distributed to many major news services near Vulkaria and has been authenticated by many sources. This comes only days after the MLF bombings in Amstelveen, Vulkaria.

Understandably, The Maximusian department of state has upgraded its travel warning on Vulkaria. They urge all citizens of Libertas Omnium Maximus to stay away from Vulkaria unless absolutely essential. Travel advisories have also been placed on many surrounding nations that were involved in the coalition against the MLF (back in the 2000s) including Zamastan, Cadair, and Legionas.

The Maximusian Department of Internal Security released a statement this afternoon stating that they do not suspect Libertas Omnium Maximus to be a target but are "investigating the situation actively". The annual Iustitia 24-Hour Renaissance Grand Prix, which starts at the first second of the new year (January 1st, 2020 at 12:00 AM Central Time), despite being a prime potential target for the Malravian Liberation Front's bombings, will still proceed as scheduled, albeit with heightened security. This makes them the only major Maximusian sporting event occurring from December 30th-January 2nd not to cancel or reschedule as a result of the MLFs threat. As always, The Litudinem Herald encourages our readers to stay safe this holiday season.
